When at Barclay Guest House please take time to and read our policies and information pack in your room.
The Guest House is approximately over 100 years old and whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests, the limitations of the building may make access difficult for people with limited mobility.
There are fire extinguishers on each floor and smoke detectors in every room. In the event of a fire, a loud continuous bell will sound. We would ask guests who may not hear the fire alarm to advise us of this fact as soon as possible, and display the red advisory card on their door handle. The advisory cards are available on the back of each bedroom door. It is now the law that smoking is not allowed inside Barclay Guest House, We operates a strict non-smoking policy. By booking with us you accept that if you break this policy or are suspected of having broken it your booking will be cancelled. No refund will be given and you will be asked to leave. You may also incur extra cleaning charges.
If a guest shows unsuitability to stay at Barclay Guest house because of unreasonable behaviour or nuisance to other guests he/she and accompanying party will be asked to leave and any replacement due to damage or extra cleaning required due to excessive soiling will be charged to the credit card used to book the reservation. Lost keys will be charged.
Children are to be supervised by an adult at all times whilst staying at Barclay Guest House.
We do not allow stag and hen groups and pets. please call if you have service or guide dog.
A deposit equivalent to one night's stay will secure your booking. Deposits are non refundable.
Cancellations must be received at least 14 days prior to arrival otherwise the full amount will be chargeable.
Accounts can be settled by cash, debit or credit card on arrival.
If paying by cheque, please send by post to arrive 14 days prior to your stay.
With Special offers full payment is due when booking.
We highly recommend taking out Travel Insurance to avoid any loss due to unforeseen circumstances.
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would refund all monies paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
The number of people occupying a room must not exceed the allocation allowed at the time of the booking.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Arrival is between 2.00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m. Departure time is 10am. we can not guarantee that we will be able to look after your luggage, if you wish to arrive earlier, or on departing day but will try to do our best and we can not guarantee that your room will be ready early

We ask that guest are aware that rooms are serviced daily from 10 am -12 noon
